**Description**:
ILSC Education Group is excited to launch the North Vancouver Summer Youth Program We are expecting around 200 enthusiastic international students for our young learners group (7-12 years old) and youth group (13-18 years old) from all the corners of the world including Brazil, Mexico, France, Spain, Japan, among others. The program is from July 1 - August 2, 2024.

The starting rate of pay for this position is $27.37 - $29.78 per hour depending on qualifications and experience, plus a 25% premium for all contact instructional hours of work.

**Job Duties**:
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

- Prepares and teaches lessons utilizing various materials and technologies as required.
- Creating an atmosphere that encourages all students equally in self-expression, self-reflection, cooperation and leadership
- Maintains current and accurate class records.
- Enters attendance records into computerized database daily.
- Cooperate with the Academic team in the observation and evaluation of lessons.
- Assist with the welcome, induction and testing of students on their first class.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes**:

- Bachelor's degree and approved TESL Certificate or Bachelor Education with experience of teaching international students.
- Experience teaching and working with children and/or teenagers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Preference given to teachers with TESL Certificates.

**Other Terms and Conditions**:

- This position requires union membership.
- Proof of identity and qualifications will be required.
- Completion of a Criminal Record Check is a requirement of employment to work with youth.
