**Position: Machine Assembler/Machinist**: Work within a dynamic, fast paced team to to fulfill customer requirements. Participate in daily operations at Williams and White, a fast paced and multi-disciplinary technical environment.
- **Salary Range**:From $28 to $38 / hr depending on experience + extended medical dental, life/disability insurance, boot allowance, coveralls and profit sharing bonuses

**Williams and White **is a custom OEM providing solutions to the primary and secondary forestry/metal cutting industries for over 50 years. We are currently looking for a **Machine Assembler/Machinist** to join our team. The primary duty of the position is to analyze work instructions and use their technical abilities to assemble machines to the correct specifications. Working with engineering, operations staff, management and other stake holders to process machine builds to the highest quality, on time, and on budget.

**Skills/Experience Required**:

- Use assembly tools to assemble custom CNC machinery
- As necessary, run vertical mills.
- As necessary, run lathes.
- Follow procedures and work instructions
- Use metrology tools (calipers/micrometers)
- Fill out required documentation during and post process
- Select tooling and set up methods to produce/assemble parts in the most efficient manner.
- Teach and instruct junior staff.
- Work alongside the other team members to maintain the machine tools and equipment.
- Promoting and upholding the Williams and White quality systems.
- Ensure a safe working environment in our shop.
- Work with our ERP system (JobBOSS)

**Skills/Experience Desired**:

- 5+ Years of Machine assembly/machining experience
- Experience working with a wide range of materials and parts size
- Strong knowledge of engineering drawing standards and GD&T's is a must
- Experience working various measuring tools/ torque wrenches etc.
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 accredited organization
- Experience interacting with solid models (Solidworks) and other 3d parametric data is an asset
- Windows and Microsoft office experience
- Work within budgets and deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Hydraulic and pneumatic system knowledge and assembly experience
- Strong communication skills (written and oral)
- A team player
- Able to quickly read and understand blueprints/ engineering drawings
- Be a self-starter and be self-motivated
- Always looking for the most effective way to do things
- Mechanical design knowledge
- CNC machine tool manufacturing experience
