**Position Summary**:
Reporting into the Director, Communications, the Communications Specialist will provide support to the overall communication strategy of the Company, with a focus on internal communications that drive employee engagement and strengthen company culture. You will take communications from concept to reality by designing engaging plans and playing a critical role in execution.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Create high-impact internal communications across channels and audiences, including:
1. Identifying interesting stories that increase understanding and awareness of the organization's objectives and achievements, highlight Sofina’s culture in action, and position Sofina as a great place to work.
3. Editorial planning, content development and publishing for Sofina’s employee intranet (Sofina Connect), TV screens in plant, and other communications channels.
4. Organizing logistics for special events including Learning Labs, Town Halls, etc.
5. The creation, development, layout, proofreading and production of internal/external publications and presentations.
- Steering communications through the full cycle of research, writing, editing, approvals, translation, and distribution.

(internally and externally).
- Create/maintain communication templates, standards and protocols.
- Assist in other projects as required.

**Requirements**:

- A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related field
- 4+ years of communications experience (understanding of large corporate settings is an asset)
- Exceptional writing, storytelling, and editing skills with demonstrated experience in effective business writing skills
- The ability to gather relevant information and transform it into clear, concise, and engaging content.
- Excellent MS Office skills, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong understanding of web technology and analytics, basic graphic design, and the effective use of social media
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset for this position.
