Climate Works Heating, Cooling, & Plumbing is looking to add a Project Manager to our Commercial Construction Division. Based in Richmond, Ontario, this position serves our Commercial Construction department by directly managing mechanical projects for a variety of Ottawa area construction projects.

Managing labour, materials, and sub trades you will be directly responsible for maintaining project schedules and budgets. You will work closely with customers to ensure clear project communication and regularly report on project progress to the Commercial Construction team. Organization and communication are key to being successful in this role.

Climate Works offers residential and commercial construction and mechanical services in the Ottawa & Toronto areas. Our Commercial Construction division is responsible for many medium and large-scale HVAC and Plumbing projects in Ottawa including schools, government, and private client projects.

**Ottawa Commercial Construction Project Management Position**

We are seeking a seasoned project manager that is detail-oriented to perform a wide range of duties to drive our projects to completion on time and on budget.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Create the time schedule and schedule of values for each project.
- Coordinate sub trades
- Plan all construction operations and schedule phases to ensure deadlines will be met
- Attend / Schedule meetings on-site with Contractors, client and construction crew
- Provide Project Coordinator with relevant information required for project start up
- Track material & labour budgets
- Work with accounting department for invoicing draws on project
- Oversee Purchase Orders, shop drawings, and submittals before release
- Negotiate with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors, as required
- Process and quote Contract Change orders
- Monitoring and Reporting Progress; Control Quality of deliverables and service.
- Evaluate Job Costs; report information to Estimators and Management upon completion
- Ensure client/supplier/subcontractor relationship is maintained at high level
- Review supplier and sub contractor invoices before payment

Qualifications:

- 10+ years Plumbing or HVAC Experience & proven experience as construction project manager
- Ability to read and understand all trades drawings, specifications & contract documents
- Advanced understanding of risk management policies and procedures
- Experience managing budgets for construction projects with strong knowledge of construction materials, processes & equipment
- Communication & negotiation skills; excellent organizational & time-management skills; Team Leadership Skills

Computer experience with project management software and Microsoft Office

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
