**Primary Functions and Responsibilities**:

- **Food and Beverage Management**: Lead a team in providing exceptional guest services in preparation, during and following events. Coordinate food and beverage services for events, ensuring appropriate staffing, direct supervision, and consistency with standards, while managing labour/payroll costs and completing client billing and opening and closing event reports.
- **Team Leadership**: Lead and supervise the banquet service team by ensuring adherence to service standards, efficiently delegating tasks, checking staffing levels, and providing mentorship and training to both new and existing staff.
- **Guest Relations**: Handle guest concerns with professionalism throughout the event, liaise with clients before, during, and after events to ensure high service and satisfaction, and promote and support the guest experience program within the department and the Centre
- **Operational Duties**:Adhere to opening and closing checklists to ensure smooth operations, maintain appropriate levels of operating stock items in line with event needs, and complete daily reports and consumption forms for invoicing, ensuring accurate record-keeping
- **Safety and Compliance**: Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures when handling food and beverages while upholding, monitoring, and enforcing safe work practices in compliance with the Centre’s safety and health programs.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Minimum 1-2 years experience within the hospitality industry. Focusing on banquets, facilities management, and food service operations.
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate food and beverage services with a strong understanding of event logistics.
- Previous supervisory experience an asset.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff management and training.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous.
- Knowledge of MS Suite, Outlook and Teams. Familiarity of event management software is an asset.
- Must have a valid Manitoba Smart Choices Certification
- Requires open availability; ability to work evenings, mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
