Equipment Installer for Emergency Vehicles

Edmonton, Canada Mega-Tech Full time

Responsibilities include:

- Review orders and complete walk through of vehicle with customer
- Installs vehicle equipment as per sales order and team leader’s instructions
- Communicate any damages to vehicle to team leader
- Knows and understands labor hours allocated to any installation job before work is undertaken
- Communicate any equipment changes/recommendations with sales staff
- Able to make decisions to equipment as best fit for the vehicle
- Works to ensure that all jobs are completed within allocated time frame
- Shuttles vehicles to and from customer’s locations as required by team leader
- Sweeps floors in work areas nightly
- Record hours within company database
- Returns all tools to tool chests nightly
- Maintains professional attitude in the presence of customers and coworkers
- Some overtime and overnight travel required
- Some scheduling adjustments as required
- Able to answer customer questions as required

**Requirements**:

- Fluency in English, both verbal and written
- Must be able to work unsupervised and well with others
- Must be able to pass a local police and possible RCMP background check
- Professional, courteous manner. Able to work with confidential information
- Ability to distinguish subtle differences in wire colors
- Clean driving record
- Familiarity with 12 volt automotive equipment a must
- Certification in EVT (emergency vehicle technician) an asset, but be obtained within 1 year of employment
- Previous experience with power tools
- Knowledge of vehicles an asset
- Ability to read schematics an asset

**Salary**: $20.00 to $26.00 /hour
