**Head Lesson Supervisor**

Pedalheads is looking for a Head Lesson Supervisor for our Toronto pool, located in Forest Hills area. This position is Part-Time 20 hours with the possibility of Full-Time come February 2023. You will represent the Pedalheads Swim brand to our customers as well as be a mentor to our growing team of swim instructors. We provide training, lots of opportunities to learn new skills and gain experience, a fun work environment and our pools are warm.

**POSITION OVERVIEW**

Our Head Lesson Supervisor position will be running our Toronto pool. Have a passion for mentoring and training young adults whilst having a flare to communicate with customers. Your time will be split fifty/fifty. Half of your time is spent supervising your own scheduled pool shift and the other half will be spent working with the Assistant Regional Manager, Bike and Swim. Overseeing the programs and the running of the facility. You must be available to work evenings and weekends.

**RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Being the on-floor mentor, the go to person for tips, tricks and instructing advice.
- Supervise, and be the responsible individual for, the facility, staff & programs when the Assistant Regional Manager is not present.
- Enhances aquatic instruction by increasing instructor’s knowledge on teaching techniques and overall program knowledge. Reinforce Pedalheads Swim advanced teaching methodologies.
- Provides effective, professional customer service and be familiar with all Pedalheads programs and provide information to the public in a polite and helpful manner.
- Monitors staff job performance.
- Monitors and ensure program and safety standards are being followed.
- Helps coordinate the staffing and scheduling of Instructors.
- Helps with payroll, inputting hours
- Ensures classes start and end on time and progressive evaluations are being completed
- on all students.
- Reports, update and advises the Assistant Regional Manager and Swim Manager of customer feedback, staffing items and program activities.
- Always maintains facility cleanliness and security and ensure the pool is properly maintained and abides by Health Regulations. Performs minor chemical adjustments to pools as needed.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Swim For Life Instructor
- Lifesaving Society NLS Pool Option
- CPR C and Standard First Aid
- Experience teaching swimming lessons

**ASSETS BUT NOT REQUIRED**
- Experience in delivering training
- Life Savings course
