**Position Title: Store Manager - Gatineau location**

**Reports to: District Sales Manager**

**JOB SUMMARY**

The Store Manager is responsible for the complete day-to-day management and coaching of Sales Consultants as well as the operations of the store in support of delivery exceptional customer service. This individual will achieve mutually agreed upon targets in key areas by maximizing store sales and profitability while working ethically and modeling the company’s core values.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Coach and lead the store team to drive overall performance.
- Build the business by focusing on team development, community involvement and your customers
- Visit the competition to understand their assortments, pricing and service models in order to effectively present the La-Z-Boy advantage to the customer
- Participate in long-range, strategic plan development for the organization to ensure continued growth and success
- Motivate a sales team to meet or exceed expectations through continuous feedback, in-store contests and coaching.
- Meet or exceed established goals for sales volume, house calls, Protection Plan sales, closing ratio, average sale and other metrics.
- Conduct recruitment, termination, training, performance evaluations, work allocation, and conflict resolution for Design Consultants and Designer.
- Train and coach Design Consultants on product, upcoming promotions, financing options, administration and The Selling System.
- Forecast staffing needs and follow through on recruiting and hiring strategies
- Ensure all visitors to the store receive exceptional customer service in greeting, qualifying, selection, payment, delivery coordination, and post delivery issue resolution.
- Resolve customer concerns and complaints in a courteous, timely and professional manner.
- Complete general maintenance and housekeeping of store, price tags, kiosks and offices.
- Communicate floor product changes, and conduct morning team meetings.
- Ensure that all direct reports comply with the company policies, procedures and ethical standards
- Maintain consistent dialogue with Merchandising Director regarding inventory requirements, tag orders, customer trends, and customer issues
- Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times
- Demonstrates the company’s Core and Leadership competencies

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Must be bilingual - fluent in both French and English**
- Post secondary education in business, marketing or related field or combination of education and related experience
- 10+ years of proven team leadership experience in a management role within a related environment,
- Previous sales experience
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Google products and ability to learn in-house computer programs
- Ability to travel from time to time
- Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
- Strong interpersonal skills

**OTHER INFORMATION**
- Must be able to work retail hours, including days, evenings and weekends
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Criminal Record Check may be required

- Participer au développement de plans stratégiques à long terme pour l'organisation afin d'assurer une croissance et un succès continus.
- Motiver une équipe de vente à atteindre ou dépasser les attentes grâce à des retours continus, des concours en magasin et de l'encadrement.
- Atteindre ou dépasser les objectifs établis pour le volume des ventes, les visites à domicile, les ventes de plans de protection, le ratio de clôture, la vente moyenne et d'autres métriques.
