**Job Title**: Occupational Health & Safety Student
**Reports to**: Director, Sustainability & Risk Management
**Term Position**: May - September
**Closing Date**: May 8, 2024

From assisting in safety inspections to learning about emergency response planning, this role provides valuable exposure to the fundamentals of health and safety. **Responsibilities include**:

- Support safety inspections and contribute to risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in training sessions for employees on safety protocols and best practices.
- Contribute to incident and accident investigations, helping to analyze root causes and recommend preventive measures.
- Stay informed about current health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the team on emergency preparedness and response planning.

**Selection Criteria Include**:

- Currently enrolled in a relevant program (Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, etc.).
- Strong interest in health and safety principles and regulations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Analytical and detail-oriented approach to tasks.
- Eagerness to contribute to real-world health and safety initiatives.
