**Your Opportunity**:
This position works with a high degree of independence and in concert with key Cancer Care operational leaders & partners. You will supports the facilitation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives and metrics related to service improvement, patient safety and accreditation standards. Strong working relationships with operational and clinical leaders at the sites and within the program are required.
**Description**:
Cancer Care Alberta Quality, Safety and Practice Integration team is in search of a strong leader to support quality improvement, patient safety and change management in the delivery of care. This role will be responsible to lead transformational change within the cancer program using skills of project management, data analysis, and process improvement to advance practice. The Cancer Care Quality Consultant plays an important role as a leader in the development and promotion of best practice in any emerging AHS-Cancer Care program, quality, practice, service delivery, or models of care initiative. Through collaboration and consultation with stakeholders, this position is responsible for influencing culture change through continual representation of the quality management body of knowledge and by using data to inform the development and implementation of new programs and improvement initiatives.

Baccalaureate degree in a Health Care discipline. Advanced skills in written and verbal communication. May involve influencing others to adopt a different point of view during complex, confrontational, emotional or stressful communication exchanges. Demonstrate professional integrity and extensive knowledge/understanding of the information. Utilize a variety of communication techniques, develop strategies to communicate change and/or facilitate learning related to Cancer Care Quality activities/initiatives.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
Master’s degree in a clinical field, Business, or Healthcare administration. Alberta Improvements Way (AIW) and IHI Open School training. Experience leading large projects within a Health Care organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. Specialized Oncology Ambulatory Care Management leadership experience. Proficiency with computer skills in Microsoft Office suite, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Project and Visio. Project Management skills.
