Overview:
As a modern, progressive regulator, the OEB needs to have tools in place that will allow us to nimbly adjust our processes and access and use the data we collect in response to changing needs and identified process improvements.

The Technology Transformation Program (TTP) is a multi-year initiative intended to modernize OEB’s adjudicative and non-adjudicative processes, especially its case management system. The current system revolves around a customer relationship management software that was first adopted in 2007. Having a nimble, new replacement system will ensure the OEB is able to work efficiently and effectively. A new replacement system will position the OEB to meet evolving requirements and future work associated with the energy transition.

The Director, Technology Transformation Programt role wll lead the program implementation. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director, Technology Transformation Progran will provide direction and hands-on leadership to drive the successful implementation and delivery of the Program. As part of a highly collaborative organization, the position will partner with individuals at all levels and functions across the organization, including executives, leaders, employees, and key partners, vendors, and stakeholders to renew and transform the OEB’s back-office system.

**Responsibilities**:

- Developing trusted relationships to partner and collaborate closely with sponsors, business partners, IT, HR, and staff across the organization as well as vendors
- Facilitating business contributions to the Program and providing direction on business related issues and decisions
- Supporting governance model for this program by ensuring the Board of Directors are briefed on the status of this program and their input and guidance is solicited.
- Leveraging in-depth knowledge of OEB processes to ensure there is clear understanding of business objectives and requirements for modernization and where business efficiencies are to be gained
- Acting as the business lead for the Program, ensure Program alignment to OEB’s organizational strategic and business unit plans and the Program’s vision and guiding principles and business case/objectives
- Partnering closely with the IT lead for the Program to ensure integration between the business and IT work streams throughout the Program
- Lead the development and maintenance of business case(s) and agile project plans for the Program and each project within the Program, as completed by the Project Manager(s)
- Provide direction, coaching, mentorship, and motivation to direct reports and project leads
- Direct, supervise, manage, and inspire staff dedicated to service excellence and stakeholder engagement
- Ensure iterative, collaborative approach with staff throughout project lifecycle
- Prepare formal reports, provide operational metrics, and recommend solutions for review and endorsement by senior leaders for Program delivery
- Partner with the Communications department to develop key corporate messages to support the issuance of timely and understandable communication

Qualifications:

- University degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Environment, or related discipline
- A graduate degree or professional designation is an asset
- Minimum of 7 years project management experience. Experience leading IT projects in the energy sector is an asset
- Program and Project management
- Experience in project management frameworks including Agile
- Leadership experience
- Understanding of the Regulatory Process would be an asset
- Experience managing large technology projects would be an asset
- Proven skills in influencing building rapport and stakeholder relations
- Issues management experience
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Teams
