Program Director

As a leader in the tech industry, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Director to join our team and lead the successful execution of our technology programs.

Location:

This role is remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own space. However, please note that occasional in-person meetings within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) may be required. Candidates should be prepared to attend these meetings as necessary.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Program Director who will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire lifecycle of technology programs within our agency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project and program management, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of technology trends. This role requires strategic thinking, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve program goals.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for delivery of all projects and campaigns within assigned programs.

Create, own and report on the roadmap for all assigned programs and tracks of work.

Collaborate with account service, technology, design, marketing, and resourcing teams to establish and implement best practices.

Define and support cross-functional teams on roles, responsibilities, processes, and templates.

Set expectations at the project outset and proactively manage issues without compromising quality, team morale, or budget.

Team Management:

Lead and mentor a team of project managers, providing ongoing support, guidance, and motivation.

Coordinate and delegate projects among the team, partnering with department leads.

Act as an escalation point for project managers, managing conflicts and differences of opinion.

Create and own the staff plan for all assigned programs and tracks of work.

Client Interaction:

Serve as a key client contact, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and building client relationships.

Provide regular project updates, navigate difficult conversations, and build client trust.

Partner with the internal finance team on overall financial management of the account.

 Perform project financials, including scoping, pricing, and monitoring budgets.

 Monitor actual vs estimated hours for team members and proactively address discrepancies.

Provide oversight and forecast the needs for the management of project budgets.

Responsible for the P&L of each client and budget of the department.

Collaborate with the finance team on SOW development, tracking deliverables, forecasting, and reporting.

Requirements

Requirements:

Able to attend in person meetings within the Greater Toronto Area

8+ years of enterprise project management experience, preferably in a technology agency setting, technology consulting, or e-commerce implementation and management.

Demonstrable experience in leading an enterprise technology program.

Expertise in scoping, pricing, and timeline development for large, complex programs.

Deep experience with various program types and deliverables, such as enterprise CMS website design, development, ecommerce, SEO, PPC, UX, analytics, content at scale and digital experience platforms.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
