**Department Overview**
- The Associate Vice President, Finance, NACO and ED&A reports to the Vice President, Finance, TECE and P&T and is responsible for leading a dedicated team of Finance professionals responsible for Finance measurement, analysis, and decision support.
- Associate Vice Presidents (AVP) at TD Bank Financial Group are strategic, responsible, and accountable members of the Bank’s leadership team. **Job Details**
- This role provides senior financial advisory and operational thought leadership to the senior leadership team for both NACO and ED&A and other senior leaders. In addition to the business partners the team supports, the team works closely with a range of Finance partners including Technology, EDS, Segment Finance, Chief Accountant's department and Financial Operations.
- Finance and Business Leadership Accountabilities:

- The AVP role includes oversight of:

- Consolidated NACO and ED&A financial planning, reporting, and forecasting of results on behalf of the leadership team on a regular basis
- Financial planning, reporting and presentation of results to NACO and ED&A functions on a regular basis (this includes reporting at all business levels - from individual cost center owners, to VP, SVP and EVP)
- Business advisory and ad hoc support
- Proactively identify financial opportunities, risks, and solutions
- Business case review, consulting and expense approval and accounting policy advice
- Oversee the preparation of financial MOR presentations to the CEO, CFO and Group Head
- Telling the financial story, linking the strategic priorities and accomplishments of the group while providing value add advice to gain financial efficiencies while optimizing group effectiveness
- Provide direction on allocation methodology and insights on impacts to Finance and Business segments
- ROI validation and measurement as well as overseeing productivity measurement and value attribution across the portfolio
- Oversee financial reporting signoff

- CA/CMA/CGA/MBA/CFA

**Other Qualifications / Skills / Experience**
- A finance executive / top level professional with broad range of financial management and advisory experience with extensive understanding of the business and key financial drivers
- Possess advance level of expertise and financial acumen to provide insight on strategy development and be a strategic partner to the business on a broad range of financial matters
- Balanced approach, ability to stay resilient under pressure
- People leadership is key element to this role - both the ability to effectively work in teams across the bank with multiple stakeholders, influence and align others
- Proven ability to manage a diverse group of professionals is critical to success in this role
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines as well as flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
- Confident presentation and facilitation skills and strong interpersonal and leadership skills to facilitate working with business and senior management at all levels.
- Excellent analytical skills in assessing finance / market and business issues and exceptional communication skills
