**LTO Assignment Details including Required Qualifications**: Semester 2 LTO - 3 Periods Dual Credit Support

The dual credit support teacher is assigned to a variety of semester 2 and spring compressed online and in-person dual credit courses, at Midland, Orillia and Barrie college campus locations in Simcoe County, and provides support for deliverables related to other post-secondary transition programs, as assigned.

**Dual Credit Teacher Duties**:
?Help with applicant screening, marketing and promotion, data collection and reporting, and other duties related to the implementation of dual credit programs.

?Attend all synchronous learning sessions of assigned courses and continue to provide support to asynchronous learning throughout duration of the dual credit course.

?Assist students with effective onboarding to online learning platforms, including Blackboard Learning Management System with Georgian College.

?Liaise with the secondary and postsecondary institutions to ensure that students have access to the range of supports and services they require to be successful.

?Track attendance and academic progress and keep administration and/or guidance and/or Student Success teams at the home school apprised of any issues related to attendance and/or progress.

?Troubleshoot dual credit transportation issues.

?Meet with students regularly to monitor their academic progress and implement interventions, as required.

?Schedule student support visits to home schools, as required.

?Provide student progress reports to partner boards, where applicable.

?Complete and submit dual credit provincial data report.

?Complete and submit Freedom of Information forms and Exit Surveys.

?Organize course completion celebration in collaboration with Dual Credit partner boards, as required.

**?One week after courses finish**: provincial data reports due

LTO Salary Range effective September 1, 2021 is $50,761 - $102,966 (pro-rated if less than full time)

Section 20 - Duties of Teachers

20. In addition to the duties assigned to the teacher under the Act and by the board, a teacher shall,

(a) be responsible for effective instruction,

assigned to the teacher and for the management of the class or classes,

and report to the principal on the progress of pupils on request;
(b) carry out the supervisory duties and

instructional program assigned to the teacher by the principal and

supply such information related thereto as the principal may require;
(c) where the board has appointed teachers under

section 14 or 17, co-operate fully with such teachers and with the

principal in all matters related to the instruction of pupils;
(d) unless otherwise assigned by the principal, be

present in the classroom or teaching area and ensure that the classroom

or teaching area is ready for the reception of pupils at least fifteen

minutes before the commencement of classes in the school in the morning

and, where applicable, five minutes before the commencement of classes

in the school in the afternoon;
(e) assist the principal in maintaining close co-operation with the community;

classes such teaching plans and outlines as are required by the
