**ABOUT THE JOB**

The Canadian Mental Health Association, BC Division is looking for a full-time Implementation and Integration Coordinator to play a pivotal role in the coordination and planning of new initiatives under the Crisis Care Reform portfolio. Essential to success in this role will be the ability to partner and build meaningful community relationships on a strategic vision and framework that amplifies the voices and includes full engagement of affected individuals and their families. Within the crisis care portfolio, the Implementation and Integration Coordinator is responsible for monitoring future opportunities and leveraging and coordinating existing projects, including Family Peer Support Workers for Integrated Child and Youth Care (ICY) communities. Under the direction of the Associate Director, Crisis Care Reform, the Implementation, and Integration Coordinator will guide several initiatives to advance the work of the Crisis Care Reform portfolio and Family Peer Support in ICY communities in BC. The ICY teams are part of B.C.'s strategy for mental health and substance use care. The ICY teams bring services together in a multidisciplinary team setting. The teams make it easier for children and youth to connect to the care they need, where and when they need it - at school and in the community. A part of this role will be to work with local CMHA branches hosting family peer support roles for the ICY teams.

As this is a new position, this role is best suited to someone who is desiring a dynamic role that they can help develop and grow within. Since the job is to engage with the community and stakeholders, we require someone who can be flexible with their schedule to be able to access various community groups for their input.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
Engage with community and provincial partners. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to foster constructive relationships at all levels.

Coordinate and support project plans for Peer Assisted Care Team (PACT) pilot sites in the province that are rooted in community needs, external expertise, and the perspectives of people with lived and living experience.

Coordinate and support project plans, local CMHA branches and staff for the implementation of Family Peer Support in ICY communities.

Ensure reporting and accountability requirements are met by contracted community agencies.

Actively seek out and respond to Request for Proposals and other funding opportunities to advance the Crisis Care Reform portfolio.

Work collaboratively with diverse partners across the province.

Participate in committees and working groups.

Coordinate new and existing initiatives.

Maintain principles of reconciliation, decolonization, and equity

Support the Family Peer Support Workers in local CMHA Branches on Integrated Child & Youth Teams.

Manage project budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and program accountability.

Ensure mechanisms are in place to measure and collate results of pilots and other projects.

Develop project reports, briefing notes and status updates.

Collaborate with partners on communication strategies and content.

Participate in committees and working groups.

Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**

Education & Experience

A post-secondary degree, preferably related to public policy, public health, mental health and substance use or a similarly relevant discipline.

A minimum of 2-3 years of project coordination experience.

Experience supervising staff is an asset.

Successful completion of background screening checks, a criminal record check including vulnerable sector and education verification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to review, synthesize and translate research evidence and knowledge.

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Knowledge of reconciliation, decolonization and equity principles as they relate to health.

Knowledge of the provincial mental health and substance use sector.

Knowledge of harm reduction approaches to address substance use issues.

Knowledge and experience conducting participatory action research is an asset.

Excellent time management and organization skills.

Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse communities and stakeholders.

Ability and confidence to work in a self-directed manner and lead large scale provincial initiatives.

Capacity to juggle multiple demands with varying deadlines.

**Working conditions**

The position is 37.5 hours per week, primarily during regular office business hours.

The position can be based out of the Vancouver or Victoria office and offers hybrid work environment including flexible working arrangements and working remotely depending on project needs. Occasional flexibility to travel may be needed for this role.

Performance will be reviewed annually by the Associate Director,
