**Position Overview**
The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for supporting a diverse range of clerical duties relating to accounting and admin. This position reports to the Corporate Controller and works closely with other Finance team members. Additional hours may be required at month end, quarter end and year end.
**A Day in the Life**
- Core job functions the Accounting Clerk will be responsible for include:
- Determine and communicate daily funding requirements
- Approve wire and ACH payments
- Create wire and ACH templates
- Cheque Exception Review & Approval
- Positive Pay File Upload
- Update FOREX Rates
- Reconcile Sub ledger to GL
- Bank Reconciliations
- Posting GL entries
- Month end close support
- Refresh monthly reports
- Quarter and Year end support
- Back-up for cheque runs and office admin functions
**Education**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent required
**Qualifications**
- 1 to 3 years clerical and accounting experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal across all levels of the organization.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically with Microsoft Excel
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong sense of urgency
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced environment
