Player Assistant

Lora Bay Golf Club is hiring Player Assistants Do you love the game of golf, meeting new people and not only know what it means to meet customer expectations, you 'exceed them'? The player assistant provides a point of contact for all members and guests prior to and during their round of golf. The player assistant will maintain golf course policies while ensuring efficient starting and the orderly flow of play.

Key Responsibilities
- Keep track of all players actual starting times and monitor pace of play in accordance with appropriate timelines
- Assist golfers in maintaining the pace of play
- Continuously communicate with Pro Shop and Outside Service - working together as a team
- Assist golf operations team when required at bag drop area
- During periods of inclement weather, assist golfers off the course
- Inform golfers of any rules of the day (cart path, pace of play, pin locations etc.) and ensure that they follow the rules and golf course etiquette
- Provide excellent service to all guests and assist them with any questions or concerns
- Assist with set up, maintenance and closing of the driving range
- Whenever possible rake bunkers, repair divots/ball marks and keep course free of garbage and debris
- Always maintain a high profile so golfers are aware of the players’ assistant presence
- Report all golf and facility related problems to the Director of Golf. If a situation arises that is out of your control, notify the professional staff immediately and request assistance
- Adhere to all Lora Bay policies and procedures
- All other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications
- High school level English communication skills
- Prior experience in golf operations an asset or experience as a golfer
- Excellent public relations skills
- Must excel in customer service
- Proven organizational skills and an attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a proven ability to work well in a team environment
- Be neat and professional in appearance
- Approach responsibilities in an organized and energetic manner

Physical Environment & Requirements
- Work under pressure
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Outside in a variety of weather conditions
- Must be able to lift 25 LBS
- Long periods of standing on your feet
- Must be willing to work morning shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays
