The expertise and talent that PSC staff bring to their work is critical to our overall success, as our Ministry is responsible for delivering HR services in all HR functional areas, internal communications, and employee engagement to the Government of Alberta.

**Role Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), APS Communications and Employee Engagement, the Branch Executive Support and Communications Administrator will provide comprehensive administrative support to the ED, and issues management and office administration for the branch.

**Job duties will include**:

- Providing issues management, coordination, and tracking.
- Administrative support for the ED’s meetings.
- Managing the flow of information in the branch, including through ARTS.
- Maintaining records and managing assets and supplies for the branch.
- Provide direct comprehensive executive support services to the Executive Director including records management. Provide administrative support to branch leadership team (as appropriate).
- Compile, organize and assemble background and research materials including, but not limited to, PSC and cross-ministry meetings, scheduling one-on-one briefing meetings with the Deputy, and preparing the weekly Executive Team package and communications other branch specific updates for ET meetings to ensure Executive Director is appropriately prepared for meetings and events.
- Represents the branch, along with Manager, at Issues Managers' meetings to facilitate information flow, cross-divisional learning and project work.

**Monitors expenditures associated with the branches budget including**:

- Review financial reports, invoices, and approval forms for completeness, accuracy, and appropriate signatures.
- Review monthly statements to monitor and reconcile spending. Invoice coding and processing payments.Please

**Qualifications**:
**Requirement**:
High school diploma and 4 years of related experience.
Executive level administrative support, including calendar management, meeting support.
Strong written and oral communications skills.
Strong time-management and organizational skills.
Understanding of procurement, budget and records management practices.

Assets:

- Professional Administrative Certification or Office Administration Diploma.
- Experience supporting a Communications office.
- Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Acrobat Pro, 1GX Workplace Administrator (WPA), One Government Experience (1GX), BERNIE, ARTS.

Equivalencies will be considered on the basis of one year of experience for one year of education or one year of education for one year of experience.

**Hours of Work**:
