Purchasing Coordinator

Clear Ocean Seafood is a CFIA and FDA registered seafood wholesaler (B2B only, no retail sales) and manufacturer in Richmond BC. With its commitment to supplying the highest quality and sustainably harvested scallops, Clear Ocean Seafood Ltd. has quickly grown to successfully position itself as a trusted and consistent supplier to its customers. Clear Ocean’s 20+ years of expertise with frozen scallop production ensures our customers are provided with direct access to continuous year-round supply.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Prepare quarterly procurement plan based on annual plan;
2. Oversee inventory level, and adjust procurement plan to meet demands;
3. Coordinate and check with suppliers on purchase order, packaging size and layout design;
4. Place purchase order, and handle all importation documents;
5. Make and coordinate production order based on sales orders or safety stock requirements;
6. Liaise with sales and other departments, and provide updates on shipments/product status and availability;
8. Perform other duties as assigned by Manager

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor degree in a related field
- At least 2 years of work experience in purchasing and imports
- Good family responsibilities and work ethics
- Well organized, detail oriented with good time management skills
- Working experience in food industry is an asset.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin. Cantonese and other languages are assets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office.
- PR or Canadian citizen.

**Salary**: 42,000~50,000/year
