**The Opportunity**:
As part of the Risk Department, we are currently looking for a Claims Adjuster to join our team. The Claims Adjuster is responsible for supporting all motor vehicle accident and cargo claims for the Risk Department.

The Claims Adjuster also takes on other risk special projects as required to support the team and grow and develop as a professional.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Manages motor vehicle accident (MVA) and cargo claims for all Company divisions
- Works closely with our insurance company and our legal team on claims
- Follows up with internal and external stakeholders on required repairs, accident reports or any other needed information
- Continuously monitors and adjusts claims reserves as necessary
- Ensures all open claims are reviewed and settled in a timely manner
- Runs reports for the Risk department as required
- Reviews and amends Service Contracts as directed by the Contracts & Insurance Adjuster
- Ensures Service Contracts are signed by the appropriate Officer and filed correctly
- Requests insurance certificates from brokers when required by customers or internal staff
- Partners with the Claims adjuster & Security Specialist to manage the Employee Badges program; creates, updates and deactivates employee badges as required; orders supplies as necessary.

**What You Need To Be Successful In This Role**:

- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Insurance, Business Administration or a related field
- Achievement of Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation considered to be an asset
- Minimum of three years office administration and/or insurance claims handling experience
- Two to three years of transportation industry specific experience
- Knowledge of legal contracts and insurance terminology
