**WALK IN CLINIC RECEPTIONIST**

**APRIL 11, 2023**

**DESCRIPTION**:
To successfully provide administrative and resource support for internal staff within the walk the clinic, as well as use considerable tact and diplomacy in performing a variety of clerical functions in the support of patient care. This is a fast paced environment where independent thinking and good teamwork qualities are a must. Excellent time management and multitask ability are critical to the success of this position.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Successfully completes general daily administrative tasks on a pro-active basis
- Provides excellent customer service to all patients registering with the clinic.
- Answers phone calls
- Register and verifies patient demographics ensuring accuracy and avoiding duplication; must validate Health Card information
- Creates charts in PS for new patients
- Answers daily messages and requests from the doctors
- Performs a variety of clerical support functions including: photocopying, faxing and performing cross functional responsibilities as required; performing other duties consistent with the job classification
- Creates invoices and takes payments for forms/self-paid visits.
- Keeps track of all payments and invoices.

**KEY COMPETENCY AND SKILLS**:

- Must be detailed oriented and possess the ability to detect errors and irregularities quickly
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, high proficiency in English
- Multitask oriented, a quick learner and possess the ability to work well under pressure
- Professional image and mature approach to customer service
- Ability to function with mínimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information in a mature and professional manner**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- High School diploma mandatory
- Medical Office Administration education or equivalent work-related experience
- Strong keyboard skills
- Previous experience with PS software
- 1-2 years of Medical Reception experience
- This job is suitable for a student.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Casual

**Salary**: From $17.17 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Weekend availability
