We are looking for a professional like you to join our team You will be responsible for leading and providing oversight for the maintenance team as assigned. You will ensure a safe and efficient execution of plant maintenance, maintain a safe and reliable facility, oversee maintenance contractors to ensure effectiveness, and achieve BASF expectations for best-in-class maintenance performance. You will ensure the efficient and effective utilization of maintenance manpower, tools, and equipment. In addition, you will be responsible for administering the maintenance processes and budget.

Provide leadership and oversight for maintenance associates and communicates with the appropriate individuals regarding personnel issues, including performance and staffing level requirements.

Collaborate with operations personnel in troubleshooting problems and implementing improvements, provides guidance and training as appropriate to promote proper operation and maintenance of equipment. Provides after hours support for unplanned breakdowns.Requisitions, schedules, and provides field oversight of outside contractors and suppliers of maintenance services performing work at the site or in off-site shops. This includes project implementation support as well as operating as project lead on smaller maintenance-related projects.Provide primary input to preparing the maintenance budget and any key performance indicators for the maintenance department.Ensure proper documentation of files, records, databases, and drawings to meet regulatory and BASF requirements.Seek compliance with all environmental, safety, and health requirements, and promotes a safe working environment. Manages contractors similarly.Work in conjunction with the plant engineer to maintain and improve plant reliability through identifying/correcting bad actors, conducting root cause failure analyses, meeting mechanical integrity requirements, and implementing preventive/predictive maintenance programs.Control spending through appropriate tracking, forecasting, and adjustments.Adhere to policies and procedures as required to ensure effective contribution to the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.Monitor production activity daily in seek of improvement opportunities or reoccurring issues in order to maintain World Class Asset Availability.Consult with union employees daily to maintain strong union-salary culture and identify opportunities for safety or productivity improvements.Act as an engineering and maintenance technical resource for all change activities on-site.
- Make decisions on daily production priorities in place of operations coordinator or operations manager when they are unavailable or off-site.
