Telecommunication Technician Contractor

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Install and repair TELUS Home Services (Home phone, internet, IPTV, and Smart Home Security) and associated equipment.
- Trace, install, and terminate telephone wiring, data wiring (cat 5e and cat 6), coaxial wiring and fiber optics wiring.
- Promote and sell TELUS products (commission available)
- Explain/discuss details regarding progress, issues, and applicable charges.
- Meet company quality standards and key performance metrics.
- Complete administration responsibilities accurately and timely
- Gather supplies and equipment from designated warehouse.
- Comfortable with carrying 28 feet ladder that weights 50lbs, climbing ladders up to 25 feet high, crawling in confined spaces, and working in all weather conditions.
- MUST be able to work on both Saturdays and Sundays regularly, and some statutory holidays.
- Work area will either be Vancouver, Burnaby/New Westminster, Pitt Meadows/Maple Ridge, or other areas in the Lower Mainland as required.
- Working outside of Lower Mainland overnight for a short period of time may be required from time to time.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Experience in any of the following fields are an asset: Telecommunications & Smart Home Security / Electrical / IT / Network Systems / Sales / Customer Service
- Telecommunications field technician experience is preferred but will train if necessary.
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to strive for excellence in customer service.
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or open work visa
- Valid driver’s license
- Company registration and setup
- Purchase, finance, or lease a white van, SUV, or truck that is 7 years or newer with ladder rack bolted on
- Vehicle expenses include maintenance, fuel, registration & insurance.
- Work Safe BC coverage and commercial general liability insurance.
- Purchase of required tools
Pay: $6,000.00-$8,000.00 per month
