**Position Overview**
An exciting opportunity exists to join the City of Kamloops’ Building and Engineering team in a Permanent, Full-Time Plumbing Official I or II position If you want to be part of a culture of empowerment and you embrace respect, accountability, collaboration, integrity and competency then working in the Development, Engineering and Sustainability Department may be a great fit for you
- Valid BC Trades Qualification in Plumbing.
- Must have passed the Plumbing Officials’ Association of BC Level II examination.
- Minimum 1 year previous experience in a municipal or provincial setting or field experience directly related to enforcement of bylaws, regulations, and acts.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence.
- Valid BC Trades Qualification in Plumbing.
- Must have passed the Plumbing Officials’ Association of BC Level I examination.
- Minimum three months’ previous experience in a municipal or provincial setting or field experience directly related to enforcement of bylaws, regulations, and acts.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence.

For new hires, and for those working in designated positions of trust, including those working directly with vulnerable persons, no formal offer of employment will be made until an applicant completes a police information check. A comprehensive benefits package is included with this position. This is a CUPE local 900 position. Please note that this position is open until filled.

**Hourly Rate**
$38.68 or $44.36

**Hours & Days of Work**
Monday - Friday:
7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (year-round)
