The short version: We are growing at an extremely fast rate and need someone who will develop supplier relations and get us competitive pricing we can pass on to customers. Whoever takes this over will need to be able to set these deals up with truck and trailer parts suppliers and keep an entire parts department organized and flowing efficiently while targeting margins and keeping us competitive.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies to optimize procurement processes
- Manage the entire procurement cycle, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and evaluating suppliers
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and provide guidance on procurement best practices
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, quality, and pricing
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and delivery terms
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that arise
- Oversee inventory control to ensure optimal levels of stock and minimize excess or obsolete inventory
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support supply chain management initiatives

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of contract management and negotiation techniques
- Familiarity with supply chain management principles and practices
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers
- Proficient in using procurement software systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Note: Experience in heavy duty truck & equipment repair industry preferred.
