- Has a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Has a proven track record of leadership in finance, with at least 5 years of experience in progressively responsible roles.
- Has strong financial analysis and strategic planning skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.

**What you’ll be responsible for**:
Financial Planning and Analysis:

- Develop and execute financial strategies in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, including forecasting, budget preparation, and variance analysis.
- Conduct financial modelling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Financial Reporting:

- Oversee the preparation and distribution of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- Present financial information to senior management, board of directors, and external stakeholders as necessary.

Risk Management and Compliance:

- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Monitor compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
- Identify and address potential areas of risk or non-compliance.

Treasury and Cash Management:

- Manage cash flow to optimize liquidity and support operational needs.
- Develop and execute strategies for cash management and investment.
- Establish and maintain relationships with financial institutions and investment partners.

Financial Operations:

- Oversee accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Analyze and approve quarterly commission payments to Sales team.
- Ensure accuracy and submission of corporate tax filings (Payroll, HST, EHT, Year-end via Public Accountant)
- Review project budgets and work with PMO to improve accuracy.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records and transactions.
- Streamline processes and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Strategic Leadership:

- Provide strategic guidance and direction to the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments and senior management to drive organizational growth and performance.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, economic developments, and best practices in finance and accounting.

**Who you are**
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Proven track record of leadership in finance, with at least 5 years of experience in progressively responsible roles.
- Strong financial analysis and strategic planning skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
