Are you a **retiree or college student looking for summer seasonal work?** We have work for you We are looking for a seasonal/part-time gardener and lawn care specialist to join our team

A gardener and lawn care specialist is proficient in various horticultural tasks including:

- Planting, pruning, and maintaining landscapes.
- Must have in-depth knowledge of different plant species, soil types, and pest management. Experienced gardeners typically handle day-to-day gardening activities, ensuring proper care, watering, and fertilization.
- Must have a good understanding of plant care
- Must be able to work independently and contribute to the overall aesthetics of the outdoor space
- Must be able to identify and address plant diseases.
- Must be flexible and passionate about gardening.

- **Responsibilities**:_
- Maintain and grow the garden to ensure it meets specific requirements and expectations.
- Perform basic maintenance such as cutting the grass, emptying bins, managing weed control and leaf raking.
- Plant and nurture new trees, flowers, and various plants.
- Work with hand tools and basic light machinery such as plant vehicles, and small diggers.
- Maintain all garden equipment and machines.
- Maintain a clean garden by clearing rubbish and litter from the garden and grounds.
- Ensure a safe environment for staff and clients by adhering to safety and health regulations.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- **Must be retired**:

- At least 10 years of proven experience in a similar role.
- Ability to handle a range of gardening machinery and powered hand tools.
- Knowledgeable of plants and gardening techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of health and safety rules and legislation

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: $15.00-$25.22 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
