**Position Highlights**
As a
**Manager of Planning & Projects **within the Strategic Land Development portfolio, you will oversee the portfolio of strategic land and facilities development initiatives and support the the facility project managers through project planning and solution development, project delivery, budget control, contract negotiation, dispute resolution and oversight of project implementation. In addition, you will liaise with consultants, vendors, other health agencies and community groups to represent Fraser Health interests, as appropriate; supervise assigned members of the department to ensure accountability and performance of various planning and project initiatives. You will create collaborative relationships with other Facilities Management teams (such as real estate, project implementation, FMO, etc.) and Fraser Health partners (such as Finances, System Optimizations). You will maintain the portfolio database and be responsible for generating regular portfolio status reports. You will support the maturing of this new strategic land and facilities development portfolio and ensure it aligns with Fraser Health values and corporate goals.

**Build on your experience and knowledge as you**:
- Manage an assigned portfolio of facilities planning and project initiatives to coordinate and resolve conflicts and overlaps between projects and other initiatives.
- Maintain portfolio initiative documentation and develop the ability to generate status reports as required by senior leaders.
- Oversee staff working on projects within the portfolio and serve as the primary senior-level client contact for all planning and project activities within the portfolio to ensure consistency with strategic and capital plans.
- Serve as a member of the Planning & Projects leadership team and participate in the development and approval of annual goals, objectives, processes, best practices, standards and tools to be used in the delivery of projects.

- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology, Health Economics or a related discipline
- Professional designation, supplemented with seven (7) to ten (10) years' recent, related experience in progressively more complex leadership roles in a large multi-site organization
- Experience leading the planning, design and construction of facilities and/or other major organizational projects
- Strong and clear communication for effective leadership and conveyance of project management skills
- Experience in writing professional business briefs; ability to review technical reports.
- A customer service attitude and business acumen in building partnerships with our Fraser Health teams
- Team management orientated mindset and approach
- Strong analytical mind with the ability to support regional and district-based planning.
- Comfortable with procuring architectural and engineering consultants; ability to follow PHSA fair procurement process.
- Outstanding technical and information management skills; have the ability to develop strategic plans based on data analytics.
- Experience in project management platform (such as Teams and SharePoint) is desirable.
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and prioritize work; have a working knowledge of portfolio management and agile project management.
