**Terms**:

- Start date: March 2023
- Hourly wage rate based on experience and education
- Year-round, 30 hours per week, will require some weekends and evenings
- Position requires successful applicant to have a local presence, personal vehicle and local area residence
- Position includes a cell phone allowance, shared office space and laptop
- Health benefits after three-month probation is successfully completed.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and curate engaging content for all Tourism Fernie social media platforms and other relevant partner sites
- Develop a social media/content calendar with support and approval from the Marketing Manager
- Creating, editing and posting/distributing of written, video, and photo content
- Attend local events, visit local businesses, experiences and more in order to produce social media content as per the social media/content calendar
- Maintain unified brand voice across social media channels. Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.
- Assist the Marketing Manager with digital marketing campaigns and other digital initiatives
- Stay abreast of social media trends, ideas to help keep Tourism Fernie innovative and relevant
- Review analytics and create monthly reports on key metrics
- Coordinate the Digital Asset Management system
- Assist in the development of an annual social media, content and digital marketing strategy
- Assist the Tourism Fernie team on other tasks and projects where needed
- Job Requirements/Qualifications:

- Passion for social media and proficiency with major social media platforms and social media management tools
- Experience with capturing quality short-form video (reels/stories) and photos, including editing tools and digital media formats
- Excellent social listening skills
- The ability to engage the audience
- Strong copywriting and copy editing skills
- Top-notch oral and verbal communication skills
- Impeccable time management skills with the ability to multitask
- Detail-oriented approach with ability to keep organized and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Work related experience in managing social media channels
- Strong communication and stakeholder relations skills and experience. The job requires an active, effective and positive presence in the community and with members including resorts, accommodators and community groups.
- Strong computer and digital/online skills and experience
- Experience working in a team environment
- Self-driven, and ability to work on your own in a fast paced environment
- Continual professional presence at work and when working with the members and community
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings specific to projects that may require this such as local events, asset development initiatives, etc
