**Role Overview**:
In this role, you will significantly influence the academic and professional futures of our students. As a PSW Program Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education, promoting academic success, and contributing to the attainment of the college's educational goals. This position requires a strong commitment to curriculum development, student assessment, and active participation in college operations, ensuring a holistic and supportive educational journey for all students.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design and deliver engaging and effective lessons aligned with curriculum objectives.
- Consistently and fairly evaluate student performance.
- Support administrative functions to optimize the student experience.
- Prepare and conduct lectures, lead classroom discussions, and engage students through theoretical and practical training.
- Provide academic and career advice to students.
- Employ innovative teaching methods suitable for adult learners to facilitate understanding of course material.
- Ensure the use of authorized teaching materials and adopt a structured approach involving lectures, presentations, demonstrations, discussion groups, lab work, case studies, and projects.
- Administer, mark, and provide timely feedback on quizzes, assignments, and exams.
- Address student queries and concerns with sensitivity and professionalism in a multicultural environment.
- Keep accurate attendance records and maintain classroom decorum, ensuring no loss or damage to equipment or resources.
- Support the admissions team by addressing potential students' inquiries about the program and future career opportunities.
- Participate in scheduled meetings and annual events such as graduation.
- Uphold the confidentiality of student information.
- Remain current in your field through ongoing professional development.
- Foster a collaborative and solution-oriented team environment.
- Perform other related duties as necessary.

**Skills Required**:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with database systems.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to adapt to different learning styles.
- Professional demeanor and interpersonal skills suitable for mentoring and role modeling.
- Experience with online teaching platforms (training provided; however, basic computer skills are necessary).

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with current, unrestricted registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- At least two years of relevant experience in a Canadian clinical setting, ideally in long-term care, community care, or chronic care.
- Must be available to teach online and on-campus as per the accepted 'hybrid' schedule.
- Have 48 months of work experience in the vocation, OR have 36 months of teaching experience in the vocation and 24 months of work experience, OR have 24 months of work experience in the vocation AND:

- Hold a Bachelor's Degree from a Canadian university or an equivalent degree.
- Graduate of a College of Applied Arts and Technology or equivalent.
- Graduate of a registered OCC or equivalent.
- Meet instructor qualification standards outlined in the Regulations to Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA) certification is preferred.

**Position Details**:

- Job Type: Part-time, Permanent (25 hours per week).
- Schedule: Daytime
- Salary: $26.00-$28.00 per hour.
