**HR Generalist (Co-Op)**

This is an 8-month paid co-op program (with the possibility to extend). The incumbent will coordinate full cycle recruitment and selection processes for a variety of positions in the assigned area. The incumbent will maintain databases, write reports and correspondence, and provide support for various Human Resource functions. The incumbent must maintain a high degree of confidentiality and work with limited supervision.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Leads the full recruitment process for the assigned and ensures accurate tracking and reporting in the ATS system.
- Coordinates start dates and orientation/on-boarding process.
- Processes employee information into HRIS database, maintain data accuracy, and run reports / queries for information as required. Answers general employee queries in a timely manner.
- Assists with processing employee education and other expense reimbursements. (i.e. cleanroom and protective shoes, tuition reimbursements)
- Completes and maintains accurate personnel records and action forms.
- Completes employment verifications and initates background checks as required.
- Provides audit assistance as needed
- Assists with various HR projects as required

**Other Requirements**:
This is an entry level position, only education in HR is required.
- Post-Secondary education in Human Resources or business program.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and understanding of the English language in verbal and written form.
- Demonstrate a high level of sensitivity, diplomacy and maintains confidentiality of employee and company information.
- Ability to deal with people, problems, answer questions.
- Ability to effectively interface and establish strong contacts with all levels of internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated ability to interview and assess applicant skills.
- Demonstrate understanding of compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to always maintain a high degree of confidentiality and use tact and discretion when working with sensitive information.
- Demonstrate initiative, organized work habits, and be capable of performing daily work assignments in a professional manner with moderate supervisory input.
- Operate general office equipment as well as audio/visual equipment
