**Job Description - Demo Journeyperson 1**

Working under general supervision, performs the full range of Journeyperson Level 1 demolition duties of any structures within our scope of work. Performs these tasks confidently while leading by example to the Apprentices. Reporting to Foreperson on progress and challenges.

**Skills, Knowledge & Requirements**
- 2 - 3 years of experience
- Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and good interpersonal skills
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Work well on verbal and written instructions
- Ability to learn quickly pertaining to scope of work
- Good time management, decision making and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently
- Recognize and adhere to all safety protocols
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Available to work Monday to Friday
- Occasional weekends, nights, holidays, and out of town work
- Advanced knowledge of demolition process (drywall, steel stud, T-bar, millwork, doors & frames,

glazing, all flooring types)
- Advanced understanding of blueprints
- Able to do a full write-up on Basecamp (including photos), sign off on to-do’s
- Able to communicate with all trades and superiors
- Leadership qualities
- Able to run smaller jobs from start to finish (with limited assistance)
- Understanding of change orders and how to filter them through the proper channels
- Able to lead a small crew of Apprentices

**Responsibilities**
- Cleaning up of debris
- Taking down of drywall from steel or wooden structures
- Taking down of ceiling tile from suspended structures
- Demolishing of all types of flooring
- Demolishing of steel/wooden framing structures
- Demolishing of millwork and doors
- Prepping sites with various types of protection
- Helping all Apprentice levels on team orientated projects

**Education & Training**
- Any valid tickets are an asset
