- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and filling holes and cracks
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired shades
- Protect surrounding areas from paint splatter and clean up work area after completion
- Repair and replace damaged drywall or wood surfaces as needed
- Follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment when working with hazardous materials

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a painter in a professional setting
- Proficient in various painting techniques including brushwork, rolling, and spraying
- Knowledge of different types of paints, primers, and finishes
- Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications for painting projects
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
- Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines

**Skills**:

- Experience working with rigging equipment for painting hard-to-reach areas
- Strong customer service skills to interact with clients and address any concerns or questions
- Proficient in caulking and sealing gaps to ensure a smooth finish
- Ability to read blueprints and understand specifications for painting projects
- Knowledge of restoration techniques for older buildings or surfaces
- Capable of building or repairing structures as needed (e.g., carpentry work)
- Experience with commercial painting projects is a plus
