**Position Summary**:
The fundamental reason for the existence of this classification is to perform responsible office support duties which involve providing information to the public, addressing customer complaints, and preparing and maintaining accurate records and files.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Extensive contact and interaction with the public in situations requiring problem resolution, and duties which relate specifically to Customer concerns
- Research and follow-up on customer problems and respond to questions
- Provide customer information regarding their freight
- Enter and retrieve customer information using the Speedy System
- Obtain information from the customer to perform a requested task
- Quality control reports
- Act in a pro-active manner in order to fix customer problems when they arise and suggest and implement procedure to prevent them from happening in the future
- Enter all exception report details
- Answer all customer inquiries
- Sort and file all OS&D exception problems
- Issue B/L to clear shortages
- Investigate all OS&D’s
- Answer and document all driver call-ins
- Work closely with operations to ensure timely movement of freight

**Position Qualifications**:

- Basic computer skills
- Excellent written, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures, including filing methods and the operation of modern office equipment.
- Basic business arithmetic
- Planning and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment while meeting deadlines caused by a high volume of work
- Ability to manage stress
- Ability to multitask
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
- Work independently or as part of a team with the ability to make sound judgments within established guidelines
- Research information and solve customer service problems
- Ability to interact tactfully and effectively with customers, and drivers occasionally in situations where relationships may be strained
- 2 years previous experience in a fast paced call centre preferably in the warehousing industry
- Completion of high school
