The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is seeking a 12-month Full-Time Contract Health Promotion Planner.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Health Promotion Planner researches, plans, develops, coordinates, and evaluates assigned Health Promotion programs in order to effectively meet the Ontario Public Health Standards and local needs.

The Health Promotion Planner provides consultation to staff, provincial and community partners regarding research and evaluation, health promotion theories, best practices and healthy public policy development. The Health Promotion Planner supports staff in meeting requirements for evidence-informed practice in the areas of oral health, child visual health, and the delivery of health promotion/protection programs in district offices.
