Le département de génie des mines et des matériaux
Description du poste:
Communiquer les nouvelles de recherche du département en termes accessibles au grand public et attrayants pour les médias, l'industrie et les chercheurs.
Les tâches spécifiques comprennent:
Recueillir des informations concernant les nouvelles de recherche dans le département par le biais de courriels et de recherches sur le Web ; rédiger des paragraphes de différentes longueurs à publier sur les comptes twitter et linkedin du département chaque semaine ; interviewer les professeurs et rédiger un article par mois présentant une nouvelle de recherche spécifique, de quelques paragraphes, à publier sur le site Web des nouvelles du département et de la faculté, dans le but d'être présenté dans la salle de presse de McGill et dans des médias plus larges. Aide à la rédaction d'articles de nouvelles pour "The Conversation".
Qualifications:
Travailler en vue de l'obtention d'un diplôme en communication ou dans un domaine connexe, et avoir un intérêt ou une expérience avérés dans la communication de nouvelles liées aux sciences ou à l'ingénierie ou Travailler en vue de l'obtention d'un diplôme en ingénierie ou en sciences, et avoir de l'expérience en communication scientifique.
Autres compétences et aptitudes requises:
Une solide compréhension des sujets liés à l'ingénierie
Solides compétences en communication, avec la capacité de créer du contenu, tant écrit que visuel, pour une variété de supports (p. ex. articles Web, matériel promotionnel, médias sociaux).
L'Université McGill est une université de langue anglaise où les tâches quotidiennes exigent des compétences en communication en anglais, tant à l'oral qu'à l'écrit. Ce poste exige en particulier d'excellentes compétences en anglais.
