Overview:
**ExamWorks Canada** is looking for a
**Financial Analyst** to join our team in our
**Markham office**

The
**Financial Analyst** is responsible for assisting the Director of Finance, Canada with: internal and external financial reporting, general financial analysis, and assistance with the forecasting and budgeting process.

The
**schedule** for this role is standard
**Monday to Friday** with overtime as needed.

**Responsibilities**:
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES **TO** PERFORM THIS JOB SUCCESSFULLY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING**:

- Assists with reporting and analysis for business units, Canada consolidated and global corporate.
- Responsible for the extraction and compilation of certain financial and other data for purposes of supporting the quarterly and annual procedures (compliance and provisions).
- Assists in the annual budgeting process at the business unit and consolidated level
- Assists in the quarterly forecasting and monthly forecasting variance.
- Assists in the AR and collection efforts by working with business units to provide appropriate reporting and support.
- Assists in reports and documentation required by external accounting firm to generate annual tax returns.
- Assists with all other matters as needed, on an ad hoc basis.

Qualifications:
**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE**
- A minimum of a Bachelor Degree, with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance required.
- A minimum of three to five years of related experience.

**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS**

No specific requirements, although CPA or working towards, highly preferred.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Must be proficient in multiple software programs, including, but not limited to, Great Plains, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the Internet.
- Demonstrates excellent analytical and technical skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and respond to managements’ directions accurately.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. Looks for ways to improve and promote quality and monitors own work to ensure quality is met.
- Must demonstrate effective communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively and asking questions where clarification is needed.
- Must be able to work independently, prioritize work activities and use time efficiently.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Must be able to demonstrate team behavior and promote a team-oriented environment.
- Must be able to stay focused and concentrate in close quarters under normal or heavy distractions;
- Must be able to work well under pressure and or stressful conditions.
- Must be results and performance driven with the ability to think creatively and work in a team environment.
