**Duties**:

- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and ensure the safety of residents
- Support residents in participating in social and recreational activities
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure their well-being is protected

**Experience**:

- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a similar caregiving role is preferred
- Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and behavior management techniques is a plus
- Familiarity with meal preparation, medication administration, and first aid procedures is beneficial
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with residents and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team

**Salary**: $22.00-$23.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

- 12 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
- Weekends only

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

- Victoria, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

- Secondary School (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
