**Job Summary**:
The curriculum consultant will be responsible for the planning, development and delivery of tools and resources for teachers in elementary and secondary school in the health and physical education strand.

Heart Niagara is looking to meet the current demand for heart health information, programs and services for adolescents, teachers, and families using digital marketing.

This role includes:

- Providing communication and promotional materials to key stakeholders
- Opportunities to author blog posts, social messages and web articles
- Promote and recruit participants for programs and services
- All other duties as required

This position requires some flexibility in hours and availability, as it will include daytime and potentially evening hours to meet program demands. This position will be completed 100% in-person.

**Responsibilities**:

- Answer and transfer phone calls
- Record and send messages
- Schedule appointments
- Register patients, clients, or visitors as they arrive
- Document processing - scanning, faxing, filing, etc
- Operate a variety of office equipment, including but not limited to PCs, scanners, printer, telephones, intercom, and others
- Perform other duties consistent within the job as required

- Exhibit strong customer service skills
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skill
- Strong working knowledge of general office practices, procedures, and standard
- Maintain client/patient confidentialit
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize task
- Ability to work as an individual or part of a team

**Qualifications**
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suit
- Have a driver’s license and access to a vehicle (some workdays will be scheduled at secondary sites)
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)

**What skills will the successful applicant develop during this placement?**

At work, people use communication skills to talk to customers, discuss products with suppliers, explain work procedures to co-workers, participate in virtual sales meetings with clients, and other activities that involve verbal or written exchanges.

**Leadership -** Leadership refers to several skills, including communication, relationship building, the ability to delegate, and traits such as honesty. At work, leadership skills are required when working in a team, demonstrating initiative, and taking responsibility for the completion of tasks that require multiple employees.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8 weeks

Pay: $18.55 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed
