We are seeking a driven and experienced sales individual to join our team at The Plaza Galleries in beautiful Whistler, BC.

**As a Fine Art Sale Consultant, you'll have the opportunity to**:

- Showcase breathtaking artwork from local and international artists
- Engage with art enthusiasts and visitors from around the world, sharing your knowledge and passion for art and the pieces on display
- Collaborate with a dynamic team of fellow art lovers, fostering a positive and inspiring work environment
- Provide exceptional customer service, guiding clients through their art-buying journey
- Contribute to a vibrant team atmosphere in one of Canada's premier art destinations

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Build and maintain relationships with gallery collectors
- Generate and follow up on leads
- Close and negotiate deals
- Strive to meet and exceed gallery sales targets
- Work with gallery CRM and inventory software
- Put together appealing and eye-catching art displays
- Take part and assist in occasional home consultations, installations, and local deliveries
- Ensure the gallery is clean an organized
- Assist with handling, packaging, shipping, and receiving artwork
- Inventory management

**Qualifications**
- Previous sales experience, preferably in a gallery or luxury retail setting
- Knowledge, passion, or interest in art
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and communication skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Efficient time management and organizational skills
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships
- being self-motivated and driven to achieve sales targets and exceed expectations
- Ability to work weekends, evening, and holidays, as our gallery operates seven days a week

Full training will be provided.

Compensation will consist of an hourly wage, with an enhancing commission component in the form of a direct percentage of overall gallery sales.

Hourly wage - paid semi-monthly - $25-$28/hour depending on experience.

Commission - paid monthly - direct percentage of overall gallery sales for the month - based on current level of sales, expected annual commission totals roughly $25,000 annually.

Expected total compensation is in the $70,000 -$80,000 annual range.

Opportunity to grow sales and increase commission component.

Full time employment, 40 hours a week basis.
