The District of West Vancouver’s Parks Department is seeking a permanent full-time Cemetery Attendant at the Capilano View Cemetery. Reporting to the Cemetery Foreperson, the Cemetery Attendant will be part of a team that prepares and conducts burials professionally and sensitively. Most of the work for this position is considered manual labour, requiring effort, stamina, ability to think proactively and to problem-solve; other aspects of the job include interacting with the public. Assignments vary, but include the care of lawns and grounds maintenance tasks, cemetery tasks including burials, burial locates, and customer service including interacting with individuals and families coping with loss.
