Applications are invited for the position of Financial Analyst in the Financial Services Division, located at the Welland Campus. The starting hourly rate is $38.01/hr (Pay Band I - $38.01/hr to $44.05/hr) for a 35-hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary. This is an Appendix D, temporary position as per Article 17.3.1 of the Support Staff Collective Agreement and is set to commence in July 2024 and will conclude in May 2026.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Coordination, preparation, analysis, accounting and submission of complex special funded project reporting for various divisions across the college
- Interpreting and understanding contracts and guidelines to ensure expense eligibility and to provide creative solutions to utilize available funding
- Analyzing, creating and processing journal entries related to project reporting, miscellaneous departmental requests and payroll entries
- Completes monthly and year end working paper schedules with supporting documentation including analyzing balances to ensure accuracy

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum three (3) year diploma/degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or similar field of study
- Minimum five (5) years work experience in a financial reporting or accounting capacity
- Strong organizational/time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to creatively problem solve with a customer service focus
- Strong MS Excel skills with the ability to identify and utilize available functions to efficiently and accurately complete required tasks
