Overview

The University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF) is part of the Global University Systems (GUS) network, offering a variety of accredited degree programs and courses to a large student community. UNF is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team. This role will involve providing strategic financial guidance, supporting decision-making processes, and ensuring financial health and growth.

Primary Purpose

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. They will work closely with the Vice President of Finance to identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and risk mitigation while ensuring compliance with regulations.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Prepare annual budget and financial analysis, including variance analysis
  • Create models for long-term growth projections
  • Produce various financial reports with analysis
  • Support decision-making processes with meaningful insights
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance processes
  • Maintain relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams
  • Assist with audits and special projects

Position Requirements

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
  • 3-5 years of budgeting and forecasting experience
  • CPA or relevant accounting designation is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced excel skills
  • Hands-on management experience
  • Experience in international business or education sector is desirable
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
