**Manager of Information Technology**

Responsible for the efficient operation of the IT Department including all hardware, software, data storage, and disaster recovery systems. Interacting regularly with IT team to effectively manage and monitor Department status and performance, this includes travelling to our branch offices for assistance as required.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Management**
- Develop and lead the IT Department including a diverse team of Infrastructure Administrators and Support Technicians;
- Staff management including determining department and individual needs, goal setting, coaching, training, assigning projects and directing the daily operations of the IT Department;
- Communicate regularly with the President and Senior Management to provide updates on actions and strategies to achieve Department goals;
- Communicate regularly with all IT Department team members to review items of mutual interest, problem solving, progress, and items requiring attention and assistance;
- Complete annual performance reviews of IT Department team members and assist with 90-day goal action plans;
- Develop and implement education programs related to all aspects of IT for all Tatham end users;
- Coordinate and monitor specialty consultants completing stand-alone IT projects for Tatham;
**Strategy & Planning**
- Prepare, maintain, and uphold procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring Infrastructure platforms and PC performance;
- Confirm instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal are addressed and accurately documented;
- Develop long-term strategies and capacity planning to meet future network, storage, backup, mobile communication and computer hardware needs;
- Prepare annual IT budget, monitor IT expenditures against approved budget;
- Create and maintain standard IT related work procedures;
- Develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans, maintain current knowledge of plan execution, and respond to crises in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans;
**Acquisition & Deployment**
- Conduct research on computer products in support of PC procurement and development efforts. Evaluate and recommend hardware products for purchase;
- Write technical specifications for purchase of PCs, networking hardware, and related products; and
- Recommend, schedule, and perform PC, hardware and peripheral equipment improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
- Mobile device procurement, processing moves, adds, and changes.

**Digital Media**

Assisting the Marketing & Events department to manage Tatham Digital Media including:

- Assist with maintaining Tatham website;
- Identify and recommend emerging digital media technologies;
- Analysis, planning and design of the development and expansion of web-based communications, projects and initiatives including the research of best practices, trends and new media technologies;
**Operational Management**
- Verify and monitor the ongoing and continuous use of local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs); including all associated hardware, software, and 3rd party connectivity circuits;
- Verify and monitor the ongoing and continuous use of all VoIP telephony components.
- Verify and monitor the end user workstation hardware, networked peripheral devices, networking hardware products and software;
- Manage and respond to off-hour IT emergencies as may be necessary;
- Maintain, test and update disaster recovery plans for all IT systems;
**Administration**
- Confirm license status of all products is accurately tracked and documented;
- Maintain hardware inventory; and
- Review and approve invoices, credit memos and applicable service contracts.

**Key Position Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Business Administration or related field;
- Minimum of 5 years of information technology experience with a focus on security, management and/or policy;
- Asset to hold the following certifications: NCA, NCE, CNE, Cisco Certification, MCP, MCSA, MTA or MCSE;
- Strong demonstrated experience supervising and mentoring staff;
- Knowledge of Novell Enterprise Server, Windows Server, Exchange and Outlook/Office 365;
- Virtualization experience, such as VMWare/ESX and Hyper-V;
- Working technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards, Windows 7-10;
- Excellent technical knowledge of network and PC hardware, including troubleshooting;
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with users to provide advice and assistance;
- Experience with publication of web content to websites and mobile devices and cloud services (Azure, OneDrive);
- Capable of operating tools, components, and peripheral accessories;
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and prepare procedural documentation and OEM guides;
- Detailed oriented, organized and systematic with excellent oral and written communication skills
