**Summary**:
**Job Scope and Tasks: Pre-Construction Management**
- Collaborate closely with the General Manager and other key stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their project requirements and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Determine project viability and identify potential risks or challenges.
- Prepare project plans, including timelines, resource requirements, and budgets, in alignment with client expectations and organizational objectives.
- Coordinate with estimating teams to prepare estimates and proposal submissions.
- Coordinate with design and engineering teams to develop detailed project specifications and construction plans.
- Oversee Document submittals.

**Construction Management**
- Oversee the execution of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, resource allocation, and utilization, ensuring optimal project performance and profitability.
- Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control measures to maintain a safe working environment and ensure project compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular project reviews and status updates, addressing any issues or risks proactively and implementing corrective actions as needed.

**Financial Management**
- Collaborates with Accounting to develop cash flow projections to ensure accurate financial planning and reporting.
- Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and control measures.
- Monitor and analyze project financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving strategies.
- Review and approve project expenses, invoices, and change orders, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and financial regulations.
- Collaborate with the finance department to provide accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and projections.
- Ensure effective contract management, including negotiation, review, and administration of contracts and subcontracts.

**Post Construction Management**
- Conduct project closeout activities, including documentation, final inspections, and client handover.
- Evaluate project performance and lessons learned, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best practices.
- Provide post-construction support to clients, addressing any warranty claims or issues promptly and effectively.
- Foster long-term client relationships, seeking opportunities for repeat business and referrals.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth project transition and integration into ongoing operations.

**Job Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or technology diploma in engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in project management or related field, preferably in the manufacturing or construction industry
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques. PMP certification preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- This role primarily covers accounts in southern Alberta but the ability to travel as required to project sites across Canada and the USA is preferred.
- Proficient with reading and understanding Cost Reports
- Capable of preparing cash flow projections
- Capable of preparing monthly project report (monthly cost summary and project financial status)
- Ability to prioritize requests and manage projects to meet target delivery dates
- Able to analyze customer requirements, specifications, input to proposals
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Intermediate knowledge of CAD Inventor, Solidworks or CAD 3-D
- Advanced knowledge of scheduling and the use of Primavera P6
