Join our Guildford Child and Youth Mental Health Services team We are a multicultural team working together to make a positive impact on families in the Surrey area. With a focus on person-centered care, we work collaboratively to support children, youth, and families up to age 19 through evidenced based and goal-oriented support. We collaborate with community partners to support children and youth facing mental health challenges through early intervention and long-term treatment.

**The Role**
In this role, you will provide direct clinical services, including intake, assessment, treatment, and crisis intervention for children, youth, and families. You will collaborate with team members, community agencies, schools, hospitals, and other ministry programs while conducting individual, group, and family therapy. Being a vital piece of the multidisciplinary team, your work will contribute to the youth and their families feeling confident in their ability to move through change and navigate recovery. This role will provide an opportunity to work with a collaborative and passionate team to support the youth and families navigating challenges. This role offers a hybrid model that may offer the opportunity to work from home up to 1 day a week, depending on operational needs based on flexible work agreements.
**Qualifications**
**Education and Experience**:
- Ph.D. in Clinical/Applied Psychology, Counselling Psychology, OR PsyD, AND *registered with, or eligible for, registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia as a Psychologist.
- Note: If you are registered as a Psychologist in another province, equivalencies for out of province applicants may be considered by the College of Psychologists of BC. Please contact the association for registration requirements in BC.
- Completion of a psychological pre or post-doctoral internship of 1600 hours in a child and youth mental health or hospital setting with specialization in formal psychological assessment, diagnoses, and treatment of mental health disorders.
- Experience in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology.
- Minimum of 1 year full-time equivalent experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services.
- Preference may be given to applicants with 2+ years of experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services.
Preference may be given to applicants who self-identify as having an Indigenous heritage (First Nations, Métis or Inuit) with the required combination of education and experience.Please refer to the Job Profile for the full list of willingness/ proviso requirements.
**About this Position**:
There are two (2) permanent full-time vacancies available and two (2) temporary vacancies available.
- One of the temporary vacancies will end October, 2025.
- One of the temporary vacancies will have a start date of 01/02/2025 until 01/08/2025
An eligibility list may be established to fill future permanent and/or part-time vacancies in these and other communities throughout the province.
Flexible work options are available; this position may offer the opportunity to work from home up to one (1) day a week, depending on operations needs based on flexible work agreements as per the Telework Agreement
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) and Criminal Record Review Act Check (CRRA) will be required.
