**Event Agent**

CKUA is seeking enthusiastic and customer-oriented individuals to join our Events and Volunteer team as an Event Agent. Supporting CKUA’s venue rental program, this is a part-time position with variable hours, perfect for individuals looking for occasional work. As a CKUA Event Agent, you will have the opportunity to represent CKUA and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of events we hold.

**Responsibilities**:

- Represent CKUA and maintain a professional and friendly demeanor during events.
- Promote CKUA as a rental venue to guests if interested.
- Safeguard assets during and after events to prevent theft or damage.
- Follow safety precautions to secure the building and assets before, during, and after the event, including lockup procedures.
- Read and adhere to the event-specific checklist to ensure all necessary tasks are completed.
- Assist with the setup and/or takedown of event assets as required (knowledge of audio equipment setup and operation is an asset).
- Ensure that building safety protocols are followed by event attendees, such as fire safety regulations and emergency exit routes.
- Provide support to event organizers throughout the event, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.

Work Location and Hours:

- The primary work location for event agents is at CKUA’s Edmonton building, the Alberta

Hotel.
- Hours will vary depending on the specific event and what events need to be covered.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle unexpected situations calmly.
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
- Physical stamina to assist with event setup and takedown, including lifting and moving equipment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours based on event schedules.

This is a part-time occasional union position based in Edmonton.ABOUT CKUA
