Dr. Oetker is a state-of-the-art Pizza Production Facility in London, Ontario. With our Head Quarters in Germany, and operations in over 40 countries around the world, we are an international company with deep family roots dating back to 1891. Our London facility which employees about 300 associates was built in 2014 and showcases modern, highly automated, high volume production lines where we produce Ristorante, Casa di Mama and Giuseppe pizzas under the Dr. Oetker label.

In our facility, we start with raw materials such as flour and yeast to make a great pizza crust, topping with sauce and ingredients to make a fantastic, finished pizza and then freezing and packaging the pizzas for retail distribution.

A part of the Senior Management Team, the Health & Safety Manager will collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the organization and will be responsible for leading the overall health and safety of the employees in our London and Mississauga Facilities.

**Reporting to the Plant Manager you will**:

- Be responsible for championing Health & Safety initiatives as well as maintaining compliance of health and safety related laws and regulations.
- Act as an advisor for senior management and supervisors of changes in legislation and health and safety trends to ensure preventive measures and compliance of regulations.
- Manage the Health & Safety Coordinator for the London facility.
- Manage all security related aspects of the London plant and provide guidance and training for the external security contractor.
- Lead the JHSC for both Ontario locations (London and Mississauga).
- Oversee all accident investigations including recommendations for corrective action.
- Be responsible for Claims Management and will interact with WSIB, HR and management to support return to work related activities.
- Identify training gaps, while developing and delivering innovative health and safety training sessions to address.
- Have the ability to travel to Mississauga (15-20% of time)

**Your Strengths & Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in occupational health and safety or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Professional health and safety designation (CRSP, etc.).
- 5+ years’ experience in leading health and safety function within manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of implementing a safety culture in collaboration with Senior Management, JHSC and all employees.
- You have proven experience in creating a safety culture that empowers all employees to understand safety.
- Strong interpersonal skills and detail-oriented mindset with a entrepreneurial spirit and a team player attitude.
