Toronto, Canada LION Full time

**Essential Functions**:

- Solves problems using logical, systematic and data-driven approach
- Fosters an environment which promotes LION's goals, core beliefs, and builds customer relationships (internal and external)
- Works closely with Continuous-Improvement Leader to support and drive lean initiatives
- Accountable for the day-to-day decisions that directly impact the quality, efficiency, and profitability.
- Assesses key performance indicators, and takes appropriate actions, to ensure schedule, cost, and quality goals are met.
- Provides leadership and commitment in support of continuing improvements in quality, productivity and delivery performance.
- Supports Product Management through entire product lifecycle to ensure customer product development needs and manufacturing lead times are met.
- Partners with HR to enhance employee life cycle and retention. Efforts include, recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention initiatives.
- **Assures that Environmental, Health, and Safety issues, in addition, maintaining ISO/UL certification for facility are addressed considering local regulations, LION policy, and good corporate citizenship.
- Evaluates and drives performance of the Toronto team in order to develop high performance teams.
- Develops, recommends, and implements approved capital programs to support the profit and strategic plans of LION
- Maintains direct communication style based on the plant with all employees with the overall objects of maintaining good employee relations.
- Leads team in daily problem solving/resolution

**Additional Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for supply chain operations including; sourcing, planning and purchasing.
- Maintaining favorable labor and overhead variances
- Other duties as assigned

**Education & Experience Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- 7-10 years experience in a manufacturing environment/plant management
- Previous experience in the garment industry would be a plus
- Excellent background in developing and leading high performance teams through talent acquisition.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts and tool sets
- Knowledge of financial concepts and techniques utilized to establish value propositions of oeprational changes.
- Demonstrated ability to direct and lead successful cross-functional process improvement teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
