We are currently seeking a motivated, energetic, and detail-driven **Mechanical Technician **to join our Production Team here are Covalon Technologies. This position will be working at our Covalon Technologies Eastgate Facility in Mississauga.

**The Role**

As a Mechanical Technician for Covalon Technologies, you will be installing, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing production-specific machines and equipment.

This is a very detailed position requiring the ability to read and interpret assembly and engineering drawings and specifications. In addition, this role will execute the machines and equipment's IQ, OQ and PQ according to the plans and protocols of the company.

This is a day shift position starting at 7am daily. This position is 100% onsite - and is not a hybrid or remote position. This role is required to work extended hours and weekends when the business demands necessitate such a schedule.

Some key responsibilities include:

- Install, assemble, test, and troubleshoot machines and equipment according to project & production needs and manuals.
- Assemble the components/parts according to the engineering drawings.
- Execute the machines and equipment's IQ, OQ and PQ according to the plans and protocols.
- Inspect machines and equipment regularly for signs of malfunctions and resolve equipment problems as they raise. Perform routine preventative maintenance and service and maintain the maintenance log.
- Assist in the creation of manuals and operating procedures for new and existing equipment.
- Maintain and track inventory of parts and consumables and place orders.
- Ensuring all work is in compliance with applicable company standards, ISO standards, GLP, GMP and GCP and established SOPs.

Some of the tools of the trade include:

- Working with the MS Office suite of products. This includes emphasis on MS Outlook and MS Word.
- Knowledge of mixing tanks, pouching machines, and pouching machines, UDI printers.
- Power tools, hand tools, electrical gauges and tools.

- **Experience**: At least two years of proven experience in electrical and mechanical machine repairing and maintenance, compounding, assembling, and combining in a manufacturing environment.
- **Education**: Associate degree in mechanical, electrical or engineering field of study.
- **Certification**: A Mechanical Diploma, or certificate, or equivalent.
- **Capabilities**:

- Ability to walk, stand, and lift heavy objects for an extended period.
- Ability to act competently in emergencies and work on a flexible schedule.

**Wages and Benefits**
